These are a very nice line of Guppies I purchased at last year’s Tampa Bay Aquarium Society auction. *Please note all of the photos below are among the parents of the actual fish (not included) that you will be receiving or siblings from the same batch. These are young adult size fish. I can see already that these are an extremely healthy prolific line. These are a relatively recent hybrid developed by Alan S Bias by crossing K. Tanaka’s Ginga Rubra and his Vienna Emerald LS guppies. This Guppy breeds true and is a very beautiful guppy. Alan’s website details the development of the Ginga Sulphureus Strain, here is the URL: http://swordtailguppies.blogspot.com/2012/08/ginga-sulphureus-evolution-of-new.html
This is a prolific line! The color in the photos is their actual color ALL photos were taken outdoors in natural sunlight.
They definitely have a very different look for a guppy, very eye catching, distinctive and recognizeable. Again, the photos were taken outdoors, in person, they display a bit more reflective irridescence than is apparent in the pics. They are naturally a very active fish as you will soon notice, a great beginners fish as well as a novelty for advanced aquarist. They hardly eat their fry. Visit my ‘About us’ Page for more info. I’ll gladly combine any other items you may be interested in purchasing from my farm to minimize your shipping cost. See list below for other items available. I welcome any questions, If you would like a 72 hour heat pack included (recommended during winter months to most locations, if you want to increase the likelihood of a safe arrival of the fish and that they arrive in the very best condition), they are available for an additional $4.00.
